Vintage 1977 IDEAL Up Against Time Game with Original Box

In decent condition for the age.

Includes one steel ball and 8 and a half barrels, one is missing half.

Original instructions included, beat up but readable.

Object of the game:

The aim is to build up a single stack of building blocks, matching their slots as you do so ensuring that each fits into the next. The only problem is that a marble is accelerating down a ramp and if you cannot complete the stack and close the gate at the base of the ramp in time, the marble will knock over your stack.


1 x plastic stacking and timer unit in four parts comprising;

- an upright tower and zig zag path for the marble run

- a name plate for the top of the tower- (NOT included)

- a base unit with pathway for the marble run and base for the stacking of bricks

- 1 x hinged gate

12 x blue plastic interconnecting blocks with raised shapes on top and depressed shapes below (two of which have ‘special barrel’ stickers on them)- (Only 8 1/2 blocks included)

1 x ball bearing

1 x rules sheet

Further notes:

Players compete to add as many building blocks as possible before closing the gate preventing their construction being wiped out.
A simple, yet clever and exciting game for all ages.
